Product challenge
Turn repetitive data-enrichment work into a mobile experience that contributors could understand, improve at, return to, and trust for payment. The business needed reliable task throughput; users needed clear work, timely prompts, and a credible reward loop.
Product and engineering approach
- Built social onboarding and a configurable quiz interface that could support different fashion and commerce enrichment tasks.
- Added practice mode so new contributors could learn the interaction model before doing paid work.
- Used FCM notifications to reconnect eligible users with available tasks at the right time.
- Implemented PayTM redemption so the reward promised by the product could be completed inside the experience.
- Added Firebase Analytics to understand user behavior and built custom Android components where generic controls did not fit the task.
- Automated mobile releases with Fastlane to make iteration more dependable.
Outcome
- Delivered the complete contributor journey rather than an isolated annotation screen.
- Connected engagement mechanics to the business need for consistent crowdsourcing participation.
- Established a reliable payment-distribution workflow that made the marketplace useful to contributors as well as task owners.
